Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 July, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan received a statement from citizen M.M.
In it, he asked to take legal action against a person named "Zebo", who in the Telegram messenger posted an advertisement for the sale of the Covid-19 vaccine, which issued by the state free of charge to vaccinate the population.
On this fact, on 8 July, employees of the Department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes of the Main Directorate of Criminal Procedure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan carried out special operation in Tashkent.
Within the operation, the citizen M. Ya. was detained when she was receiving US$1,400 for 186 doses of COVID-19 vaccine - ZF-UZ VAC2001. The total sum of the deal was 27.75 million soums or 150,000 soums for each dose.
In the course of the check carried out prior to the investigation it was established that A.Z. received these vaccines from citizen B.S., who works as a senior nurse in one of the family clinics in Yakkasaray district of Tashkent.
The criminal cases was opened. An investigation is underway.
