Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Customs officers of Uzbekistan promptly suppress the facts of illegal movement of jewelry made of precious metals and precious stones across the customs borders of our state.
The other day, at the international airport of Navoi, during the customs control carried out with respect to courier items arriving on an international flight, a violation of customs legislation was revealed. This was reported by the press service of the State Customs Committee.
During the inspection, it was established that one of the international courier items contained jewelry with a total weight of 25 kg, amounting to 100 million soums, not declared in the declaration.
According to the current procedure, there are maximum norms for duty-free import of certain types of goods into the territory of our republic. In particular, the amount of jewelry made of precious metals and precious stones imported by individuals should not exceed 65 grams.
Currently, on the revealed fact of the offense, customs inspections are underway.
