Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 14 December 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gairat Fozilov met with Acting United Nations Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan Consuelo Fatima Vidal Bruce.

At the meeting, topical issues of Uzbekistan’s interaction with the UN and its institutions were discussed, mutual interest was expressed in expanding the Organization’s project activities in our country.

Acting UN Resident Coordinator was informed in detail about the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026, the deep transformations carried out in the republic in all spheres of society, the key initiatives of the head of state, announced in international forums.

In turn, the UN representative highly appreciated the reforms carried out under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at improving the welfare of the Uzbek people and fully reflecting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Particular attention was paid to the schedule and organizational aspects of the upcoming joint events, in particular, the first high-level forum on the Aral Sea.

The talks also considered certain issues of a regional and international nature.
