Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov today presented the economic, investment and tourism potential of Uzbekistan at the Egyptian Association of Industrialists.

The event was attended by more than 30 representatives of leading business circles in Egypt.

The participants were informed in detail about the legal framework created for the activities of foreign investors in Uzbekistan, in particular, about tax and customs benefits, the activities of free economic zones and other opportunities for investing in promising projects.

The participants of the event proposed to create a joint Business Council for the further development of trade, economic and investment ties between businessmen of the two countries.

According to the Executive Director of the Egyptian Association of Industrialists Khalid Abdulazim, at the international exhibitions "Cairo Fashion & Tex" and "Inter Leather" in Cairo on 2-4 March 2022, more than 20 enterprises of the textile and leather industry of Uzbekistan presented their products under the brand "Made in Uzbekistan" , meetings were held in G2B and V2B formats. This contributed to a significant increase in interest in Uzbek products among Egyptian businessmen.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on organizing mutual visits of delegations of business circles of Uzbekistan and Egypt, ensuring their participation in international exhibitions, holding regular business forums and cooperation exchanges in order to establish direct cooperation and implement joint economic projects.

Egyptian entrepreneurs were also provided with detailed information about the tourism potential and opportunities of Uzbekistan.
