Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 February 2021, as part of a working visit to Bishkek, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev.
During the conversation, the sides noted fruitful cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest. The closeness of the positions of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on most regional and international issues was stated, which creates a solid foundation for the continuation of the practice of close interaction within the framework of multilateral structures.
An exchange of views took place on the schedule and agenda of upcoming meetings at various levels.
The current state and prospects of further development of interstate cooperation in Central Asia were examined in detail. The importance of consolidating efforts to expand interregional trade and economic contacts, attracting investments, innovations and technologies, and increasing exports to new markets was confirmed.
The Kyrgyz side has been invited to the International High-Level Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Interconnectedness. Challenges and Opportunities ”, which will be held this year in Tashkent.
