Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Three people were injured as a result of a gas explosion in an apartment in a multi-storey building in Andijan. This was reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan.

The incident took place on 9 December at approximately 1:00 am. D. M., who lives in the apartment, turned on the light in the room where the gas had accumulated. The explosion injured three people. They were taken to the hospital with various degrees of burns.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the explosion burned out 30 square meters of living space.

The city prosecutor’s office of Andijan has begun a preliminary investigation into the gas explosion.
