Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Entrepreneur from Uzbekistan, Dilorm Yuldasheva, who was named in the BBC’s "100 Women" list, has been awarded the "Mardlik" (Courage) Order.

A seamstress from the Denov district of Surkhandarya region, despite losing both of her legs, Yuldasheva has achieved significant success in business and has provided employment to many women.

At a meeting on social protection issues, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev highlighted Yuldasheva’s outstanding work, noting her success in developing a sewing business and employing 40 women. For her resilience in life and business achievements, she was awarded the "Mardlik" Order.

The president also emphasized that, in early December, Yuldasheva had been named in the BBC’s list of "100 Inspiring and Influential Women of the World" for 2024.

"We should be proud of such strong and determined individuals and set them as examples for others," stated the head of state.

Next year, a series of motivational documentaries and feature films will be created, featuring people like Dilorm Yuldasheva as the main characters. The coordination of the work on these films has been entrusted to Shakhnoza Mirziyoeva, the first deputy director of the National Social Protection Agency.
