Earthquake registered in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An earthquake occurred on the territory of Uzbekistan on 16 September 2021 at 14:43 local time, the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergencies said in a statement.

Epicenter was in Akhangaran district of Tashkent region. Earthquake coordinates: 40.89 degrees north latitude; 69.64 degrees east longitude. Magnitude M = 2.8. Depth 5 km. The distance from the epicenter to Tashkent is 55 km in the southeast direction.

The strength of the tremors at the epicenter reached 3 points.
