Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 December 2020, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Rustam Khatamov, a video conference dedicated to fighting corruption was held.
At the last video conference, which was attended by the management and deputies of structural units, as well as heads and deputies of city and regional departments of the internal affairs bodies, it was noted that in recent years a systemic and irreconcilable fight against corruption has been carried out in the country, as well as large-scale reforms in all spheres of state and public construction, aimed at preventing and suppressing corruption.
At the meeting, from a critical perspective, issues related to the work on strengthening service discipline and legality among employees of internal affairs bodies, and combating corruption were also considered.
In particular, it was noted that for 11 months of this year, 23 employees who committed corruption facts were dismissed from the ranks of the internal affairs bodies, of which 11 managers were removed from their posts, and disciplinary measures were applied to 40 employees.
At the meeting, held in a critical spirit, reports were heard from the leaders responsible for strengthening official discipline and legality among personnel, preventing the commission of crimes by employees, and appropriate instructions and instructions were given to create an atmosphere of intolerance to corruption and other crimes in the future, increased responsibility and commitment of managers on this issue.
At the meeting on the discussed issues, priority tasks for the future were identified.
