Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Foreign Minister Furkat Sidikov today held an online meeting with the Ambassador of Vietnam with his residence in Moscow Ngo Duc Manem, Dunyo news agency reported.

The parties discussed the state of Uzbek-Vietnamese relations in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other areas, as well as the prospects for their further development.

Special attention was paid to strengthening inter-parliamentary ties and cooperation within the framework of international organizations.

During the talks, it was emphasized that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Vietnam has great potential for consistent expansion in almost all areas. In this context, specific proposals were considered to bring interaction between Uzbekistan and Vietnam to a qualitatively new level.

They also exchanged views on the organization of joint and international events with the participation of the delegations of the two countries.

As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on continuing the dialogue on further building up bilateral cooperation, implementing joint investment and trade and economic projects, as well as developing exchanges in the fields of education and tourism.
