Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential Decree “On additional measures for the further development of the fish farming industry" was adopted.
According to the Decree, the experience of the fish farming cluster created in Jizzakh region on the basis of cooperation with national economies will be introduced in each region.
Wherein:
fish farms organize training for owners of household plots in fish farming, supply them with the equipment necessary for fish farming, fishing nets, mixed feed, mineral fertilizers and purchase fish grown by them at agreed prices;
the owners of the plots sell them fish grown intensively on their territory at agreed prices.
From 1 February 2022, citizens will be able to start fish farming on their farms as self-employed persons.
In the period from 1 February 2022 to 1 January 2025, for entities that have launched the production of equipment and technologies (aerators, pools, auto feeders, RAS) and processing equipment necessary for the intensification of fishing, while receiving more than 80 percent of the income from the production of this equipment, income tax rates (excluding interest received from funds placed in commercial banks), land tax on legal entities, property tax on legal entities and tax rates for the use of water resources will be reduced by 50%.
The rate of land tax and property tax for owners of fish farms is set at 50 percent.
In 2022, a total of 700 thousand tons of fish will be grown in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regions.
According to the Decree, from 15 January 2022, within the framework of the state program “Every Family is an Entrepreneur”, the amount of a loan for growing fish in farms will be increased from 150 to 300 sizes of basic estimated value.
Also, 200 billion soums will be allocated to finance projects for growing fish in farms in an intensive way.
In the period from 1 April 2022 to 1 January 2025, a one-time subsidy up to 2 sizes of the basic estimated value will be allocated to cover the expenses of individuals for training in training courses in the direction of "Fish farming in national economies".
According to the Decree, the specialty "Fish farming" will be included in the list of specialties of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel of the highest qualification.
From 2022, the doctoral studies of the Tashkent State Agrarian University and the Research Institute of Fisheries will be allocated 2 places annually in the specialty "Fisheries".
