Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 November, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva met with a delegation consisting of the heads of the diplomatic missions of Great Britain, Germany, the United States and France in the OSCE.

During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on the ongoing reforms and democratic processes in our country in the field of ensuring human rights, gender equality and freedom of the media.

They also spoke about the issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OSCE, work on the implementation of the organization’s projects in our country.

It was emphasized that in recent years, the interaction of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan with the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly has significantly intensified, relations have reached a qualitatively new level.

It was noted that there is a huge untapped potential for cooperation with the OSCE in the economic and environmental spheres, in connection with which it is necessary to implement new projects.

The guests were also informed about the progress of the ongoing constitutional reforms in Uzbekistan, taking into account the opinions and proposals of the general public based on the idea of "Society - the initiator of reforms".

An exchange of views also took place on the effective organization of the autumn session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which next year will be held in Uzbekistan for the first time in history.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on further strengthening cooperation in the implementation of plans and projects.
