Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During an official meeting, the Deputy Director of the National Social Protection Agency of Uzbekistan, Usmon Sharifkhodjayev, held talks with the Deputy Minister for Endowment and Islamic Affairs of the State of Qatar, Muhammad bin Hamad Al-Kawari.

During the dialogue, the parties discussed prospects for further deepening bilateral cooperation in the field of social protection. Special attention was given to considering practical steps for implementing the initiatives put forward during the official visit of Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al-Ghanim, Qatar’s Minister for Endowment and Islamic Affairs, to the National Social Protection Agency one month ago.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to develop and implement joint projects aimed at improving the quality of social services for vulnerable populations, expanding opportunities for the education and rehabilitation of children with disabilities.

The parties expressed confidence that strengthening cooperation in this area would not only support vulnerable groups of citizens but also contribute to the development of inclusive social services, as well as reinforce friendly ties between Uzbekistan and Qatar through the exchange of experience and best practices.
