CIS Chambers of Commerce agree to strengthen cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 19 March, the 24th meeting of the Council of Heads of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of CIS countries was held online under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan.
The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Dilshod Rasulov, along with the heads of chambers of commerce from CIS member states.
The discussions focused on expanding business cooperation within the CIS, enhancing exhibition, fair, and congress activities, developing e-commerce, and improving the business environment.
Each country presented a list of international exhibitions and trade-related events scheduled on its territory for 2024. Additionally, participants agreed on a joint initiative plan for 2025 aimed at deepening economic cooperation.
Dilshod Rasulov proposed holding an extraordinary meeting of the Council as part of the first regional CIS forum, set to take place in Tashkent on 28–29 April.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to mutual trust, professional cooperation, and active information exchange, emphasizing the importance of further integration within the CIS.
