Central Bank Lifts Restrictions on Imkon Finans
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has lifted the restrictions imposed in August 2025 on the microfinance organization Imkon Finans.
The regulator had temporarily limited the company’s activities in lending, leasing, guarantee provision, and factoring due to identified deficiencies in business processes and internal control systems.
Despite the restrictions, the company continued to fully meet its obligations to bondholders: coupon payments were made on time, and investors requesting early redemption received the full value of their securities.
Financial results during the restricted period were under pressure: a loss of 7.5 billion soums was recorded over nine months, compared to a net profit of 1.4 billion soms in the first half of the year.
Imkon Finans stated that during the restriction period it reviewed internal processes, strengthened control mechanisms, and updated key operational procedures. Following an inspection of these changes, the Central Bank decided to lift the restrictions.
As of today, Imkon Finans officially resumes full-scale operations.
