Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The business mission of Samara region is working on a project to launch a full cycle of production of Lada cars in Uzbekistan. The launch of the production line of Lada cars at the ADM Jizzakh plant is planned in 2024. It was reported by TASS.
“On 12 April a business mission of the Samara region began its work in Uzbekistan, consisting of representatives of 37 companies that intend to work out the issues of launching a full cycle of production of Lada cars in the republic,” the report says. It is noted that the interested parties of both countries announced plans to implement this project in September 2021.
It is expected that the new production line will be organized at the ADM Jizzakh automobile plant on the territory of the Jizzakh free economic zone in the Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan, its launch is scheduled for 2024.
New production facilities are being built at the plant, where equipment for SKD assembly of the most popular models Lada Vesta SW and Lada Xray will be installed.
It is reported that the participants of the business mission will also discuss with the partners of Uzbekistan the organization of the production of components necessary for the assembly of cars in the republic.
