Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Botir Zaripov was approved as acting khokim of Bukhara region. This decision was made at an extraordinary meeting of the regional kengash of people’s deputies.

Prior to that, Botir Zaripov worked as the chairman of the board of the Uzpromstroymaterialy association.

In August, the deputy khokim of Bukhara region, Farhod Umarov, became the acting khokim of the region after the death of Karim Kamalov. Kamalov died from the consequences of COVID-19.

Farhod Umarov will continue his work as Deputy Khokim for finance, economy and poverty reduction.
