Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A number of goods were exempted from customs duties until May next year.
The government adopted a resolution “On additional measures to guarantee the provision of basic food products to the population and maintain price stability in the domestic market.”
According to the document, until 1 May 2022, the following goods will be exempted from customs duties:
- bananas, plantains (fresh or dried);
- fresh or dried dates, figs, pineapples, avocado, guava, mango, mangosteen or garcinia;
- citrus fruits, fresh or dried;
- fresh papaya;
- fresh apples, pears and quince;
- kiwi.
