Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 19 January 2023, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Uzbekistan Ahmed al-Kasiri in connection with the completion of his diplomatic mission.

Bakhtiyor Saidov highly appreciated the personal contribution of the Ambassador to the progressive development of bilateral relations.

The Omani diplomat said that during his work in Uzbekistan (2019-2023) he witnessed large-scale reforms that contributed to the dynamic progress of the republic.

The sides discussed topical issues of Uzbek-Omani cooperation, the implementation of previously reached agreements and the schedule of upcoming meetings at various levels.

The importance of effective use of the existing potential for interaction in the trade, economic, transport and communication, cultural and humanitarian spheres was noted.

The Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Uzbek side for all-round support and favorable conditions created for the implementation of his diplomatic activities in the country.
