Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 February, the Tashkent regional department of internal affairs and the Tashkent regional department of internal affairs began an operation to seize counterfeit banknotes for 100 thousand soums by employees of the Tashkent police department.

According to the information, F.R., born in 1991 and living in Tashkent, acquaintances J.T., born in 1997 and A.A. were caught by operatives with evidence while illegally making counterfeit money and preparing it for circulation.

During the event, 58 sheets of paper, 490 pieces of counterfeit banknotes for 100 thousand soums, a color printer, 2 boxes of special paper, knives and other items were seized as material evidence.

A criminal case was initiated against the suspects under paragraph 2 of Article 176 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
