Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the initiative of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on Youth, Culture and Sports, an online round table was held with representatives of a number of UN international organizations in Uzbekistan.
The main goal of the dialogue was the implementation of joint efforts in such urgent areas as the interaction of the UN and the Youth Parliament under the Senate, as well as the study of the situation of young people in the world, discussion of the problems they face.
The online event was attended by the Deputy Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Youth, Culture and Sports D. Tashmukhamedova, Head of the UNICEF Office in Uzbekistan Munir Mammadzoda, representatives of the UN Development Program, the Population Fund, the Office on Drugs and Crime, Chairperson of the Youth Parliament under the Senate and others. ...
During the "round table" the parties exchanged views on the active cooperation of the Youth Parliament with international organizations. In particular, the head of the UNICEF office in Uzbekistan noted that the organization is ready for permanent cooperation with the Youth Parliament, joint implementation of many important projects.
An agreement was reached on the development of an action plan for organizing trainings with members of the Youth Parliament, including a training on the topic "The Role of the Youth Parliament in the implementation of the United Nations sustainable development goals" and motivational sessions on gender and public speaking, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the UN.
