Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abat Fayzullayev presented copies of his credentials to the head of the protocol department of the Federal Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs in the Austrian Republic, Enno Drofenik, in Vienna, Dunyo reports.
Immediately after the ceremony, a conversation took place with the Director of the Department of Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia of the Austrian Foreign Ministry Katharina Wieser and her deputy, Ambassador of Austria to Uzbekistan with residence in Vienna, Alois Kraut.
The parties discussed the prospects for bringing bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level. As it was emphasized during the conversation, today the Uzbek-Austrian relations are characterized by positive dynamics.
The growing interest of Austrian business circles in establishing close contacts with Uzbekistan, including leading companies, was noted. Plans have been outlined to organize visits by representatives of large Austrian companies participating in investment projects being implemented in the republic.
During the meeting, they also discussed issues on the bilateral agenda within the framework of international organizations.
