Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan has shown healthy optimism on the platform of the Commonwealth's chairmanship, which should be picked up by all interested participants in this association. This opinion was expressed by Aleksey Dzermant, a researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, at an international videoconference organized by ISMI following the CIS summit.
This is due to the uniqueness of the CIS platform, which has in its arsenal a number of legal mechanisms that do not overlap with other integration entities. So, a key place in the internal agenda of the Commonwealth is occupied by a huge potential in the humanitarian sphere, to which President Shavkat Mirziyoyev gives priority attention.
It is very important when the leader of the nation puts forward initiatives on the international platform to join efforts in protecting the rights of labor migrants and raising standards in education and health, which have become especially relevant in the context of the spread of the pandemic.
The expert called proposals in the field of ensuring information and ideological security a very popular initiative of the leader of Uzbekistan. The CIS needed new mechanisms, forms of interaction and common approaches in this area. The Commonwealth is an excellent platform for countering and arresting the above threats.
Moreover, the proposals of the Uzbek side coincide with the interests of other members of the Commonwealth. Having demonstrated the effectiveness of the CIS, Uzbekistan took on the role of a driver of an updated integration agenda. Such actions and initiatives of Uzbekistan are fully supported by the Belarusian side.
