Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of his visit to the People’s Republic of China, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, held talks with the leadership of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

The meeting focused on the development of digital infrastructure in Uzbekistan and the potential financing of promising projects in this area.

The Uzbek side also presented information on current initiatives being implemented in cooperation with international IT companies.

Particular attention during the talks was given to the ongoing reforms in the field of information technology, priority areas of the digital economy, tax incentives for IT businesses, state programs aimed at creating highly skilled jobs for young professionals, and measures to expand access to digital services across various regions of the country.
