Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical (AGMK) in 2021 can export products worth more than US$1 billion and set a historical record.
In January-October 2021, the company’s export volume made up US$923.9 million, which is 35.1% more than expected. The growth rate was 40.9%.
The plant is on the verge of setting its historic export record. According to the company’s forecasts, by the end of 11 months of 2021, the plant will export products worth US$1 billion.
During the reporting period, the plant exported more than 77 thousand tons of copper products, 66 289 tons of cathode copper, 4 482 tons of copper pipes and 11 453 tons of copper sulfate.
More than 54 thousand tons of zinc products were sent abroad. A high result was achieved in the export of sulfuric acid - 477.3%. Molybdenum exported 703 tons.
Good results were noted in the export of rhenium, cadmium, tungsten, palladium powder, selenium, tellurium.
Over the last 10 months of this year, 56,815 tons of lead concentrate were shipped to foreign consumers.
The indicator for the export of white Portland cement amounted to 8,839 tons and gray cement - 102,852 tons.
Currently, the geography of export of the products manufactured by the plant covers such countries as Turkey, the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Poland, Tajikistan, Indonesia, the Netherlands, China, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan. It is also planned to export copper pipes to Egypt and Germany.
