Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 April this year, during a joint operational-search activity carried out by employees of the law enforcement bodies, narcotic substance were found in a postal item, sent from Russia to citizen A.Sh, living in Almazar district of Tashkent.

On 5 April, citizen A.Sh. arrived at the International Post Office, picked up the mail and took it to his home.

That day, at about 4:00 pm, when checking the place of residence of citizen A.Sh., electronic scales (2 pcs.), small plastic bags for the manufacture of narcotic substances as a bookmark, and plastic containers that he received at the post office were found in the basement. The discovered items were seized as material evidence and a chemical examination was appointed for verification.

According to the conclusion of the examination, a substance weighing 1.150 ml. in a plastic vial turned out to be a synthetic narcotic substance "a-PVP" in liquid form.

On this fact, a criminal case under part 5 of article 273 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan was initiated.
