A strategic partnership agreement signed with the University Hospital Zurich

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Talks were held between the leadership of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Center for Cardiology, represented by its director Khurshid Fozilov, and the University Hospital Zurich (Switzerland), represented by the director and chairman of the Department of Cardiac Surgery, Professor Paul R. Vogt).

During the negotiations, prospects were outlined for establishing cooperation in the areas of training young specialists, organizing joint research, organizing short-term and long-term internships for Uzbek specialists at the University of Zurich in such areas as cardiology, X-ray endovascular surgery, cardiac surgery, electrophysiology.

During the negotiations, an agreement was signed on a strategic partnership between the two clinics, which involves assisting the University Hospital Zurich in improving the quality and types of high-tech medical care to the population of the Republic of Uzbekistan, organizing events to improve the skills of Uzbek specialists, conducting lectures, presentations and master classes. In addition, it was decided to organize interaction between the two centers in the field of telemedicine. The agreement also provides for the organization of short-term and long-term internships for Uzbek specialists on the basis of the University Hospital Zurich.

In addition, it was decided to jointly conduct on the basis of the RSNPMCK such high-tech procedures as transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), implantation of stent grafts, etc. And it should be especially noted that the University Hospital Zurich will support not only the Republican Center of Cardiology itself, but also all of its branches and divisions in the regions.
