Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A conscript of the National Guard of Uzbekistan died as a result of an explosion of shell fragments at a field training ground in Chirchik. This was reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan.

According to the department, this incident occurred on 21 August. A video was circulated on social networks in which the parents of the deceased reported that their child, R. Baratov, had died from serious injuries.

On 21 August, on this fact, the Chirchik military prosecutor’s office opened a criminal case under Article 297 of the Criminal Code (Violation of the rules for handling weapons, as well as substances and objects that pose a great danger to others).

Investigative actions are currently underway.
