Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A presidential resolution “On measures to accelerate the development and support of pottery” was adopted.
According to the resolution, promising targets for increasing the volume of pottery production in 2021–2023 were approved.
According to this, the production of 5,400 pieces of products is envisaged in the current year.
In accordance with the decree, resolution rate of property tax and land tax for residential and non-residential premises in the newly created pottery centers is set at 50 percent for a period of three years, starting from the month the potters are granted ownership of these residential and non-residential premises.
Also, this year, loans in the amount of 500 billion soums will be allocated for handicraft activities within the framework of programs for the development of family entrepreneurship at the main rate of the Central Bank.
Until 1 April 2021, a procedure for allocating subsidies to potters will be introduced in order to teach young people crafts based on the usta-shogird traditions, purchase the necessary raw materials and ensure the payment of wages to students.
A system of annual support will be established for 100 thousand girls getting married and included in the "Iron Notebook", "Women's Notebook" and "Youth Notebook", by presenting sets of pottery in accordance with the plan.
On the territory of "Duty free" international airports and railway stations, special places will be allocated for the sale of pottery and other types of handicraft products.
Ministries, departments, commercial banks and state enterprises are allowed to purchase pottery for a period until 1 September 2022 by concluding direct contracts with potters.
According to the decree, in order to acquire housing by potters built for them in the Rishtan district of the Ferghana region:
Uzsanoatkurilishbank provides a mortgage loan to potters in the amount of 50 percent of the cost of the said housing without an initial payment solely on the security of this housing for a period of 20 years, including a three-year grace period, at the basic rate of the Central Bank;
50 percent of the cost of this housing is reimbursed by Uzsanoatkurilishbank.
