Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the Development Strategy of Uzbekistan for 2022-2026, by April 2022 a draft presidential decree on the widespread introduction of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency in housing and communal services, social facilities and other areas will be developed.

On its basis, the Ministry of Energy, together with experts and consultants from the World Bank and relevant ministries and departments, will develop a national program "Improving the energy efficiency of social, commercial and administrative buildings and structures."

In this case:

Renewable energy sources and devices for generating electricity and heat will be widely used in the construction of housing, social and commercial facilities under the state program for the construction of new arrays "Yangi Uzbekistan".

Standard projects will be developed for the introduction of renewable energy sources in the private sector, the social sphere and local government.

Measures will be taken to encourage managers and officials of social facilities and other budgetary organizations to introduce renewable energy sources.

State incentive and financing mechanisms will be created to provide the low-income population with renewable energy sources.
