Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A minibus belonging to the Uzbek embassy in Ukraine was damaged by shrapnel fragments during the evacuation of citizens from Kharkov. This was reported by the publication "Daryo" with reference to the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Ukraine Alisher Kurmanov.

According to the ambassador, in Kharkiv, a shell fragment damaged the windshield and side mirrors of a diplomatic minibus belonging to the embassy. “They said shrapnel fell,” he added.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan noted that the citizens of Uzbekistan were not injured as a result of the incident.

“Our diplomat had to get on a train with students and get to Lvov. Getting out of Kharkov by car was very difficult and dangerous. We couldn’t get there by car. We needed to get to our destination as quickly as possible. The car was damaged and ran out of fuel. Therefore, we left the minibus at the station,” said Alisher Kurmanov.
