A meeting was held with the EBRD Managing Director for Central Asia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 July, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov met with EBRD Managing Director for Central Asia Zsuzsanna Hargitai.

The focus is on the progress of ongoing EBRD-financed projects and the discussion of new joint initiatives.

The EBRD portfolio in Uzbekistan includes 16 completed projects worth €391.3 million covering water and sanitation, energy, district heating, transport and small and medium business support.

With the support of the bank, 17 projects are being implemented with a total value of 1,243.5 million euros in the areas of infrastructure development, energy, solid waste management, transport and irrigation. There are 7 new projects under development for the amount of 929 million euros.
