Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 July this year, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sadyk Safoyev held a meeting with the Chairman of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, partner of the White & Case law firm Carolyn Lamm, who arrived in our country to participate as an international observer in the upcoming 9 July early presidential elections in Uzbekistan.
During the conversation, Carolyn Lamm noted that she was coming to Uzbekistan not for the first time, and she sees that great changes have taken place in the country in recent years. She highly appreciated the successes demonstrated by the reforms carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
In turn, Sadyk Safoev stressed that at the initiative of the head of state, a deep and thoughtful policy in the field of social security is being implemented, and comprehensive work is being carried out to reflect the norms of the new edition of the Constitution in people's lives.
At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on issues of further expansion of practical cooperation and promotion of joint projects of cooperation between the enterprises of our countries.
Carolyn Lamm expressed confidence that the forthcoming voting in the early presidential elections will be organized on the principles of openness and transparency.
Other issues of mutual interest were also considered at the meeting.
