Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A regional forum on the topic "Implementation of UNSCR 1325 on strengthening the role of women in ensuring peace and security in Central Asia" with the participation of women’s civil society organizations is scheduled for 20 December 2021 at the Hyatt Regency hotel Tashkent under the auspices of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia.

The event is organized by the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the UN Development Program in cooperation with the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy in Central Asia and UN Women.

The overall goal of the Regional Forum is to strengthen cooperation between the Dialogue, civil society organizations, government agencies and international organizations in order to advance the implementation of the global Agenda "Women, Peace and Security" at the national and regional levels.

Members of the Dialogue, representatives of civil society institutions, government agencies, international organizations and academia from the countries of the region are invited to participate in the forum.
