Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Water resources for Uzbekistan are one of the most important topics that require special attention and the adoption of systemic urgent measures aimed at saving water on the one hand and treating wastewater used for domestic and industrial needs, with the other side. Given this fact, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with partners, is working to search abroad for advanced technologies and solutions in the field of water management, as well as attracting these technologies to Uzbekistan for use in the private sector.

In this regard, with the assistance of the Representative Office of the German Economy in Central Asia, a trip of the Uzbek delegation to the IFAT-2022 water industry exhibition in Munich (Germany) was organized from 30 May to 3 June 2022.

The main purpose of organizing the trip was to improve the skills of the delegation members in terms of getting acquainted with advanced German technologies and equipment in the field of preparation, conservation, purification of water resources, as well as establishing partnerships with German companies producing innovative equipment in the field of water management.

During the visit, a seminar was organized for the Uzbek delegation with the participation of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany, as well as the German society "German Water Partnership", where they disclosed: the current situation in Germany in the field of water management; modern innovative solutions in the field of drinking water treatment and wastewater treatment by both biological and chemical methods; the possibility of issuing guarantees for loans under contracts concluded with Uzbek and German partners, and so on.

Also, as part of participation in the exhibition, the Uzbek delegation visited stands with presentations of leading German companies in the water industry (Aerzener Maschinenfabrik GmbH, ATEC GmbH, Evonik Operations GmbH, Binder GmbH and GEH Wasserchemie GmbH, SebaKMT ”, “Siemens AG”, “Festo SE & Co. KG”, “Festo SE & Co. KG”, “PPU Umwelttechnik GmbH”, “NIVUS GmbH”, “MYTEX”, etc.).

In addition, the visit included trips to the drinking water production facility at the municipal waterworks in Kaufbeuren, as well as a visit to the wastewater plant in Oberschleissheim, where modern solutions for innovative ventilation and energy efficiency were presented.

Participation in the exhibition allowed the participants to increase their knowledge on the use of innovative technologies, equipment and solutions in the field of water management (preparation, conservation, measurement, purification of water resources), as well as to establish working contacts directly with equipment manufacturers in this area.

For example, between a local company (a member of the CCI) ZAVOD TEHMASH LLC and the German companies PPU Umwelttechnik and Klaro, agreements were reached on organizing visits to Uzbekistan for additional negotiations in order to establish joint production of wastewater treatment equipment in Uzbekistan used in social facilities, as well as in food and textile enterprises.
