Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Overhaul of the road overpass on the Akhmad Donish street of the small ring road of Tashkent and at the intersection of Miskin and Usta Shirin streets was completed.
It should be noted that this project was implemented as part of the implementation of the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-3632 from 29 March 2018. In accordance with the design and estimate documentation of this overpass, financing from the local budget in the amount of 21 billion soums was allocated.
It should be reminded that this overpass connecting the three districts of the city was built in 2000. Its total length is 912 meters, width - 29 meters. From the moment the object was put into operation, and this is for 20 years, no repair work has been carried out on the overpass. In view of this, the roadway, including asphalt concrete pavements, reinforced concrete structures, decorative slabs, metal fences, as well as expansion joints in the form of a ridge, fell into disrepair, creating many problems for car owners. Considering the above, work on the repair of this road junction was started in October and November 2019.
Due to the fact that repair work cannot be carried out in winter, since it is impossible to achieve the required component of soil compaction, in the winter period of 2019-2020, repair work was temporarily suspended. In the spring of this year, due to the strengthening of quarantine measures in the context of a pandemic, it was not possible to continue construction work from March 2020. All workers involved in construction and repair work, along with all our compatriots, spent this period at home. After the easing of quarantine measures, repair work continued. All dismantling and installation work was carried out in accordance with the relevant rules and established standards. Given the high throughput of this section, the repair work was carried out here without interrupting the road traffic.
According to the regulations, during the overhaul of this overpass, the iron grids of the roadway, ring booms, decorative reinforced concrete slabs were replaced, reinforced concrete structures were installed and the asphalt concrete pavement of the route was updated. Insulation works have been completed on the pedestrian part of the overpass.
Also, new street lighting poles and decorative metal grilles were installed in accordance with the general concept of urban architecture. Since the main part of this overpass consists of cast concrete (monolith), one expansion joint was repaired as an experiment. At the same time, a geomembrane polymer material was used, as well as mastic products of the "CRAFCO".
