Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - By a presidential resolution, a branch of the Kazan Federal University was created in the city of Jizzakh.

According to the resolution, the Branch will train personnel in the following areas of bachelor’s degree and specialties of master’s degree:

geology;

software engineering

economy;

mechanical engineering

medical business;

dentistry;

pharmacy;

medical biochemistry.

The branch is a structural subdivision of the Kazan Federal University (Russian Federation) with the status of a legal entity.

Personnel training is carried out in full-time, part-time and other forms of training.

Educational activities at the Branch will begin in the 2022/2023 academic year.

The admission parameters are approved by the Branch, taking into account the real staffing needs of the interested ministries and departments.

Admission of students to study at the Branch is carried out on the basis of a state grant and a paid contract. At the same time, graduates of the Branch who have undergone training on the basis of a state grant are distributed to state bodies and organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the condition of compulsory work for a period of at least three years.

The branch issues graduates with a University diploma of the established form, recognized as a document on higher education in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation

According to the decree, the University, together with the Jizzakh branch of the National University of Uzbekistan, from the 2021/2022 academic year begins training personnel in such areas of education as "Software Engineering", "Pharmacy" and "Information Systems and Technologies" on the basis of joint educational programs, and students, those accepted for training in these areas will continue their studies at the Branch in the future.

By the end of 2022, the OpenLab research laboratory will be created at the branch.
