Uzmetkombinat’s Profit Falls Nearly Twelvefold in H1 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The net profit of Uzmetkombinat JSC totaled 21.1 billion soums in the first half of 2025, a sharp decline compared to 261.3 billion soums in the same period of last year.
Revenue dropped by 23.1% to 3 trillion soums. Foreign exchange gains decreased from 160.4 billion to 126.2 billion soums, while losses from exchange rate fluctuations surged almost 4.7 times — from 95.3 billion to 448.1 billion soums. Meanwhile, interest expenses were cut by more than half, from 142.6 billion to 66.8 billion soums.
The company’s debt structure showed mixed dynamics: long-term bank loans grew from 2.9 trillion to 3.7 trillion soums, while short-term bank debt fell from 2 trillion to 0.6 trillion soums. At the same time, the volume of short-term borrowings soared from 62 billion to 1.8 trillion soums.
Uzmetkombinat’s assets declined by 3.6% to 13 trillion soums, while equity fell 2.1% to 5.8 trillion soums.
