UzLiDeP receives majority of seats in district Kengashs of People’s Deputies of Tashkent

The winners of the elections to district kengashs (councils) of People’s Deputies of Tashkent were identified in 279 from 330 electoral districts. The elections were held on 24 December 2017.
According to official data, the repeated elections will be held in 51 electoral districts.
Over 1.267 million voters participated in the voting, or 81.2% of the total number of voters.
The majority of seats in district kengashs were received by UzLiDeP – 114 seats. It was followed by the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milliy Tiklanish” - 45, the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan - 41 and the Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Adolat” – 33 places. Representatives of the self-government bodies of citizens won 46 seats.
About 65 of elected deputies or 30.4% of the total elected deputies are women and 17 deputies are young people under the age of 30.
