Uzbekistan’s Population Density Reaches 85.2 People per Square Kilometer
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 January 2026, Uzbekistan’s average population density reached 85.2 people per square kilometer, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Over the past year, the indicator increased by 1.6 people, the committee noted.
The country’s population density has shown steady growth in recent years: 78.6 people per square kilometer in 2021, 80.2 in 2022, 82 in 2023, 83.6 in 2024, and 85.2 in 2025.
