Aleksandr Koshlakov, director of department on agri-industrual complex of Yaroslav region, said that in line with the order of the Russian government, all regions are expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan on supplying and processing fruit and vegetable products.
He said producers from Uzbekistan are long-term partners of Russia and Uzbekistan wants to expand cooperation and enter new markets. He said that Uzbekistan will supply fresh and dried fruits, vegetables, grain and legumes, cotton. He said that Russia, in its turn, can offer products of machinery and agriculture sectors, in which Uzbekistan expressed interest.
Yaroslav region offers help to Uzbek side on search of new markets, investment platforms, establishing ties with trade organizations and partners. The Russian region is also ready to help Uzbek companies to open their branches, offices and trade houses.
Trade turnover between Yaroslav region and Uzbekistan made up US$6.938 million in nine months of 2014, of which exports of the Russian region is US$6.45 million and imports – US$488,100.
