Uzbekistan to Appoint Cultural and Tourism Advisors at Embassies to Coordinate International Initiatives

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan on additional measures to expand the country’s international cultural and tourism relations has been adopted.

According to the decree, an additional position of Cultural and Tourism Advisor will be introduced in the staffing structure of Uzbek embassies in countries listed in the annex to the decree.

The initiative aims to improve the coordination and effectiveness of Uzbekistan’s cultural and tourism activities abroad.

Appointments and dismissals of advisors are carried out by the Minister of Foreign Affairs based on recommendations from the Head of the Department of Creative Economy and Tourism of the Presidential Administration.

Advisors report to the head of the respective diplomatic mission and support the development of bilateral relations in cultural and tourism sectors. In addition, they report to the Head of the Department of Creative Economy and Tourism of the Presidential Administration, ensuring alignment of international cultural and tourism initiatives with national development strategies.
