Uzbekistan to adopt localization programme for 2015-2019

The Government of Uzbekistan is planning to adopt a programme of localization of ready products, components and materials for 2015-2019, the action programme of the Cabinet of Ministers for near and long-term perspective, presented by Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyayev at the joint session of both chambers of the parliament on 23 January said.
The action programme said that Uzbekistan develops the programme of localization of ready products, components and materials for 2015-2019 to optimize import due to expansion of local production due to processing local raw materials.
Within the programme, Uzbekistan plans to implement 600 projects, which will allow to process raw materials and produce 1,225 demanded products. The estimated effect of import-replacement will make up US$3.5 billion.
