Uzbekistan Records More Boys than Girls Born in First Nine Months of 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Uzbekistan, January–September 2025 saw a higher number of newborn boys compared to girls.

According to the National Statistics Committee, civil registration authorities recorded 664,600 live births during this period, of which 343,600 (51.7 %) were boys and 321,000 (48.3 %) were girls.

By place of residence, 319,300 children (48 %) were born in urban areas, while 345,300 (52 %) were born in rural areas.

During this period, the birth rate stood at 23.5 children per 1,000 people.
