In line with the document, it is planned to complete construction of 45 new production capacities for US$4.902 billion and carry out 87 projects on modernization of existing capacities worth US$2.54 billion. It is planned to use US$2.292 billion to complete these projects.
In particular, Uzbekneftegaz and Korean consortium led by KOGAS will complete construction of Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex with the cost of US$4.1 billion. Uzbekenergo will construct 370 megawatt combined-cycle plant at Tashkent thermal power station with the cost of US$512 million.
Navoi Mining and Metallurgy Combine will complete implementation of five projects for US$157.8 million. Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine will modernize copper fabric for US$117.7 million and Uzkimyosanoat to expand soda plant in Kungrad.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan plans to implement over 300 investment projects for US$55.4 billion in 2011-2015.
