Uzbekistan Ends Pre-Shift Medical Checks for Air Traffic Controllers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan has registered amendments to the Rules for Civil and Experimental Aviation in the country.
Under the updated regulations, the requirement for daily pre-shift medical examinations for air traffic controllers has been removed. This change aligns with the provisions of the Convention on International Civil Aviation and aims to simplify procedures without reducing flight safety standards.
Other amendments remove outdated provisions, including minimum cloud base heights and descent clearances that no longer meet international requirements.
The classification of aircraft has also been revised, distinguishing between primary and retrofitted planes, enabling more precise regulation of aviation operations and reflecting modern industry standards.
These updates aim to harmonize Uzbekistan’s aviation legislation with international norms and improve the efficiency of the civil aviation sector.
