Uzbekistan and Pakistan Discuss Cooperation in Mineral Extraction

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 September 2025, the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with a delegation led by Haroon Akhtar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on Industry and Production.

The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister Feroza Khamidova, heads of departments and divisions of the ministry, as well as members of the Pakistani delegation.

During the discussions, both sides noted the steady development of Uzbek-Pakistani relations and explored opportunities for joint projects in the extraction of precious and non-ferrous metals, as well as other minerals of industrial significance.
