Uzbekistan and Oman Agree to Expand Cooperation in Education

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 November, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bahromjon Aloyev, held a meeting with the Minister of Education of the Sultanate of Oman, Madikha bint Ahmed Al Shaibani.

The head of Oman's ministry highly praised the organization of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference held in Samarkand, noting that the decisions adopted during the forum will contribute to further strengthening international relations.

During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for establishing direct contacts between educational institutions of the two countries, developing modern curricula, and exchanging experience in the fields of vocational education and innovation.

Madikha bint Ahmed Al Shaibani emphasized that the historical, cultural, and spiritual closeness of the peoples of Uzbekistan and Oman provides a solid foundation for further development of friendly relations and the expansion of mutual cooperation.

Following the meeting, both sides agreed to implement joint projects between the relevant ministries and educational institutions of the two countries, including launching short-term professional development programs and academic exchanges for students.
