“Uzbekhydroenergo”: Electricity Production Increases Despite Decline in Water Resources

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2025, despite a 33 percent reduction in the country’s water resources, JSC “Uzbekhydroenergo” managed to increase electricity generation.

Thanks to effective management and a responsible approach, electricity production rose by 15 percent.

By the end of the reporting year, 6.5 billion kWh of electricity was supplied to JSC “Uzenergosotish.”

These results were achieved through the rational use of water resources, optimization of production processes, and uninterrupted operation of hydroelectric power plants.

It is noted that the company’s hydroelectric stations operated around the clock, maximizing output from every cubic meter of water and ensuring stable electricity supply to both the population and various economic sectors.

JSC “Uzbekhydroenergo” continues to implement measures to enhance the efficiency of the hydroelectric complex, with particular attention to sustainable water resource management and the reliability of the country’s power system.
