Uzbek, Pakistani Foreign Ministers discuss ties

On 17 October 2016, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Tariq Fatemi.
Syed Tariq Fatemi arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the 43rd Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
According to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the sides discussed practical issues of further development of bilateral relations, including in the context of the implementation of agreements reached during the official visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif to Uzbekistan and during talks at the highest level in November 2015.
The parties also exchanged views on the issues included in the agenda of the 43rd session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers opening on October 18 as well as some international and regional problems.
